Progress review meeting held at Industries department chaired by Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Shah Secretary Industries Commerce and Technical Education. IMAU Project key performance was reviewed and indicators were discussed thoroughly, Honorable Secretary appreciated IMAU team.

A special meeting was chaired by the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr. Shahzad Khan Bangash, to take up the matter of illegal mining across riverbeds. The Chief Secretary directed strict action to stop illegal mining activities by ramping up province-wide crackdown against the law breakers. Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Shah Secretary IC&E along with DG IC were also present.

Secretary Industries Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Special Secretary Industry and Director Industries Khyber Pakhtunkhwa inspected the sasta bazaars at Dera Ismail Khan, Paharpur and Parwah.
On this occasion, the officers inspected various stalls and talked to the people about the availability and prices of food items.
During his visit, Secretary Industries Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued instructions that all the institutions should work together to ensure maximum relief to the people.

Honourable Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Industries, Commerce & Technical Education Department signed the MoU on Cooperation between Surkhandarya Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Govt. at Prime Minister House, Islamabad on 3rd March, 2022. The Prime Minister of Pakistan his excellency Mr.Imran Khan and President of Uzbekistan Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev witnessed the MoU signing ceremony.

Industries, Commerce and Technical Education Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa organized 1st Dissemination Event of Accelerated Skills Development Program (ASDP) for Merged Areas. 5,500 youth belonging to NMAs will be trained in state-of-the-art TVET facilities across the country under the project worth PKR. 1.4 billion over a period of 03-years.

SACM on Industries, Commerce and Investment Mr. Abdul Karim Khan, Minister for Higher Education, Mr. Kamran Khan Bangash, Deputy Mission Director USAID, Secretary Industries, Commerce and Technical Education Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Lead Economic Advisor MAGP and other public & private sector representatives attended the event. This will hopefully prove to be a game changer for the youth of merged areas.
